Paris in the Spring? Been there only in summer and winter. But we can enthsiastically recommend Japan in the Spring — it is absolutely stunning! Everything blooms and the weather is lovely. Bullet train to wherever the peak cherry blossoms are! We enjoyed Tokyo (a lot) and Kyoto too, but our favorite locales were small regional areas. Check them out below.
Hakone, Kanagawa
/In April 2018 we visited friends living not far from Yokohama, Japan. Looking for a three day getaway they suggested the Hakone region — easily accessible from the Tokyo metro area. We chose to stay in the village of Gora at the Merveille Hakone Gora hotel. It was a terrific choice and one of our Japan favorites.
