Reflections on Nepal
We will be making a first time visit to Nepal from October 8-26, 2026. Previously in 2019, we traveled along a road not too far from Darjeeling in India where one side of the road was West Bengal, India and other side was Nepal. We intended to visit a Nepalese market that day but the authorities would not permit us to go.
We’ve dreamed of visiting Nepal for years and have waited till now. We’ll begin our visit in Kathmandu, staying at the Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu, followed by a couple nights at Hotel Mystic Mountain in Nagarkot, Nepal. We’ll continue with visits to Chitwan, Pokara and Jomson. More soon.
While in Darjeeling, india in 2019 we made a friend from nepal, sudeep, shown here with rich. We hope to meet up with him, his wife and their two twin baby girls while we are in nepal.
