Nine years ago Rich and I came to Siem Reap, Cambodia and made the rounds to all the ruins—well, only the ruins in the Angkor Wat region (an area just near the town of Siem Reap). It’s the typical tourist circuit.
We didn’t make it to some of the far-flung temple ruins requiring several hours driving and the better part of an entire day. But I came back solo (while Rich went to the Philippines) in February 2026 properly motivated and activated. Following recently visited global power spot such as Egypt, Peru, Turkey, Easter Island, I was ready to circle back to Cambodia and further contemplate the mysterious civilization that constructed these temples. Each one is riveting and stunningly beautiful!
