From The "Synergy" Tour Blog
/It’s noon Sunday in Rome and the bells from all 900+ churches are gloriously announcing midday! It’s day 55 on our 85-day journey around the world, and technically we’re more than halfway having traveled eastward about 15,000 miles since leaving Singapore on August 11th. We’re a bit tired! But we’ve kept up with our ambitious itinerary like the traveling troopers that we are!
Rome is our third stop in Italy with three to go before we leave on October 20th for Cairo, Egypt. We’ll make our way back to Singapore on November 5th, then make a short jaunt to Penang and Langkawi islands in northern Malaysia where we are looking forward to daily foot massages and an extended recovery from a busy three months of continuously being on the road.
I’m already saying I won’t schedule us this way again but it had to be done! We needed all six weeks in the United States to do what we needed and wanted to do. Our month in Italy, so far, has been extra special as we’re traveling with family and enjoying every minute!
See our stops in the United States., including our visit to the extra special historical site of Serpent Mound in Ohio.
See our itinerary for Italy and the accommodations we chose in the six Italian cities we are visiting.
We’re successfully, so far, skirting around Italian labor strikes and tomorrow will be taking a train back to northern Italy with visits to Venice, Milan, Turin and Lake Como. See our daily Instagram posts on hotelguys1.
as good as it looks!
